Justin & Em

Em was raised in beautiful Shawnigan Lake where she spent all her free time swimming & riding horses. After moving around the Cowichan Valley and Victoria, Em bought her first home in Duncan in 2019.

Justin grew up in Coquitlam where he discovered his love for cars. He moved several times, from Squamish to Nanaimo, eventually settling in Duncan in 2017.

Both Em & Justin committed to careers in the insurance industry. Completely unknown to each other, in 2021 they began working for the same company.

In August of 2022, Em planned a summer wine/spirits/cider tour throughout the Victoria area for their company. On August 24th, Em received her very first Teams message from Justin, where he asked how she was travelling from the City of Totems to the big City. Em offered Justin a ride, and, on August 26th, they met for the first time.

After a fun day of giant Jenga playing (Em swears she won, Justin swears he won), many drinks and laughs, Em agreed to join Justin’s bowling league (Justin repeatedly: “Duncan Lanes is LIT”). After that day Em & Justin spent as much time together as possible, growing their relationship and supporting each other in their personal and professional lives.

Three years later, Em & Justin enjoy bowling together, riding motorcycles, playing with their beloved pups & kitties, & camping in Winston the Winnebago. They can’t wait to tie the knot and call each other husband & wife.
